RFHIC affiliate RF Systems begins construction of new Osan headquarters
RF Systems, an affiliate of wireless-equipment and compound-semiconductor company RFHIC, has begun construction of its new headquarters in Osan, Gyeonggi-do. It aims to list on KOSDAQ in 2023.
A groundbreaking ceremony was held on the 20th with key executives and representatives of the contractor, Huisang Construction. The building will stand on a site of about 6,557 ㎡ in the Osan Gajang Industrial Complex with a total floor area of 10,317 ㎡; production capacity is expected to rise about threefold when it is finished, with move-in planned for around November next year.
A company official said the building would play a key role in expanding defense and civilian business and in creating new business such as next-generation mobile-communication parts and modules.
RF Systems received KRW 5 billion from IBK Industrial Bank and others last May, and signed an agreement with KETI to set up a joint research center for wide-angle antenna system development.
