KETI and RF Systems to set up a joint research center

The Korea Electronics Technology Institute (KETI) signed an agreement with RF Systems (CEO Han Ki-woo) on the 14th at its Seongnam headquarters to establish a joint research center. The two will cooperate on wide-angle antenna system development, technology transfer, field demonstration and SME support. RF Systems is a system-design and special-joining specialist that developed Korea's first RF-aware joining process for key products, and has capabilities in radar and wireless-communication mechanical equipment, environmental control units and satellite antennas. Going forward they will plan projects for joint development of 5G/6G/satellite-communication parts, support company growth through technology exchange with RFHIC and RF Materials, and pursue technology transfer. The center is due to open in January next year inside RF Systems' Yongin laboratory, starting with the wide-angle antenna system now under joint development. [Electronic Times, 14 Dec 2021]
